None of the other "Little House Years" books are as good as the ones about Laura but other then the Laura books I prefer the Martha books but the Charlotte books are a close third for me. I am from the Boston area so I enjoy reading about this region of the world plus the descriptions are excellent. ( )

Will and his wife have moved into a new wing added to the family house, and Charlotte’s life is full of things to do, like caring for their new baby, and figuring out why the new school teacher acts so strangely. She figures out that he doesn’t want to be in his job, and gets a chance at a new experience- leaving town! They visit a cattle show several hours away. ( )
