WITH NOTES IN ENGLISH,
REV. WHARTON B. MARRIOTT, B. C. L.
LATE ONE OF THE ASSISTANT MASTERS AT ETON COLLEGE.
ETON COLLEGE MODERN ATLAS,

MOST RECENT AND BEST AUTHORITIES;
Engraved on Steel, in best Style, by Mr. E. WELLER,

Ir is the object of the Notes added to these Extracts, to give the young Student, for whose use they are exclusively intended, such assistance as may encourage him to acquire a knowledge of the Book, without saving him the trouble of learning it.
The more difficult passages are explained, as well as such references to History and Mythology as need explanation for a learner.
No notice is taken of variety of Text, except in some few passages, where the meaning is essentially dependent on the reading, or the grammar is disturbed by it.
