6 And thou shalt put it before the veil that is by the ark of the teftimony before the mercy-feat that is over the teftimony, where I will meet with thee.

42 This ball be a continual burnt-offering throughout your generations, at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD: where I will meet you, to fpeak there unto thee.

43 And there I will meet with the children of Ifrael, and the tabernacle fhall be fanctified by my glory.

44 And I will fanctify the tabernacle of the congregation, and the altar: I will fanctify alfo both Aaron and his fons, to minifter to me in the priest's office.

45 And I will dwell among the children of Ifrael, and will be their God.

46 And they hall know that I am the LORD their God, that brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, that I may dwell among them: I am the LORD their God. CHAP. XXX.

9 Ye shall offer no strange incenfe therejon, nor burnt facrifice, nor meat-offering; neither hall ye pour drink-offering thereon.

10 And Aaron fhall make an atonement upon the horns of it once in a year with the blood of the Sin-offering of atonements : once in the year fhall he make atonement upon it throughout your generations: it is moft holy unto the LORD.

11 ¶ Ánd the LORD fpake unto Mofes, faying,

12 When thou takeft the fum of the children of Ifrael,after their number, then thall they give every man a ransom for his foul unto the LORD, when thou numbereft them; that there be no plague among them, when thou numbereft them.

13 This they shall give, every one that pafleth among them that are numbered, half a fhekel after the fhekel of the fanctuary: (a thekel is twenty gerahs)an half thekel ball be the offering of the LORD.

14 Every one that paffeth among them that are numbered, from twenty years old and above, shall give an offering unto the LORD.

15 The rich thall not give more, and the poor fhall not give less than half a shekel, when they give an offering unto the LORD to make an atonement for your fouls.

EXODUS. 17¶ And the LORD fpake unto Mofes, faying,

22¶ Moreover, the LORD fpake unto Mofes, faying,

23 Take thou alfo unto thee principal fpices, of pure myrrh five hundred shekels, and of tweet cinnamon half fo much,even two hundred and fifty fbekels, and offweet calamus two hundred and fifty shekels; 24 And of caffia five hundred hekels, after the shekel of the fanctuary, and of oil olive an hin :

25 And thou shalt make it an oil of holy ointment, an ointment compound after the art of the apothecary: it shall be an holy anointing oil.

26 And thou shalt anoint the tabernacle of the congregation therewith, and the ark of the teftimony,

27 And the table, and all his veffels, and the candlestick, and his veffels, and the altar of incenfe,

28 And the altar of burnt-offering with all his veffels, and the laver and his foot. 29 And thou shalt fanctify them, that they may be most holy : whatfoever toucheth them shall be holy.

30 And thou shalt anoint Aaron and his fons, and confecrate them, that they may minifter unto me, in the priest's office.

2 See, I have called by name Bezaleel the fon of Uri, the fon of Hur, of the tribe of Judah :

3 And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wifdom and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,

4 To devife cunning works, to work in gold, and in filver, and in brafs,

5 And in cutting of ftones, to fet them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship.

6 And I, behold, I have given with him Aholiab, the son of Ahifamach, of the tribe of Dan: and in the hearts of all that are wife hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded thee;

7 The tabernacle of the congregation, and the ark of the teftimony, and the mercy-feat that is thereupon, and all the furniture of the tabernacle,

8 And the table and his furniture, and the pure candlestick with all his furniture, and the altar of incenfe,

9 And the altar of burnt-offering with all his furniture, and the laver and his foot, 10 And the clothes of fervice, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and 31 And thou shalt speak unto the chil-the garments of his fons, to minister in the dren of Ifrael, faying, This shall be an prieft's office,

35 And thou shalt make it a perfume, a confection after the art of the apothecary, tempered together, pure and holy.

13 Speak thou alfo unto the children of Ifrael, faying, Verily my fabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a fign between me and you, throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth fanctify you.

14 Ye shall keep the fabbath therefore; for it is holy to you; every one that defileth it shall furely be put to death: for whofoever doeth any work therein, that foul shall be cut off from among his people. 15 Six days may work be done; but in

17 It is a fign between me and the children of Ifrael forever; for in fix days the LORD made heaven and earth, and 12 Wherefore should the Egyptians on the feventh day he refted, and was re-speak, and fay, For mifchief did he bring freshed. them out, to flay them in the mountains, and to confume them from the face of the earth? Turn from thy fierce wrath and repent of this evil against thy people. '

18 And he gave unto Mofes, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of teltimony, tables of ftone, written with the finger of God.

CHAP. XXXII.

1 The people cause Aaron to make a calf. 19 Mofes breaketh the tables. 25 The idolaters flain. 50 Mofes prave:b for the people. AND when the people faw that Mofes delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and faid unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Mofes, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.

2 And Aaron faid unto them, Break off the golden ear-rings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your fons, and of your daughters, and bring them unto me. 3 And all the people brake off the golden ear-rings which were in their ears, and brought them unto Aaron.

4 And he received them at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf and they faid, Thefe be thy gods, O Ifrael, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

13 Remember Abraham, Ifaac, and Ifrael, thy fervants, to whom thou fwareft by thine own felf, and faidft unto them, I will multiply your feed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of, will I give unto your feed, and they shall inherit it forever.

14 And the LORD repented of the evit which he thought to do unto his people. 15 And Mofes turned and went down from the mount, and the two tables of the teftimony were in his hand the tables were written on both their fides; on the one fide and on the other were they written.

16 And the tables were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, graven upon the tables.

17 And when Joshua heard the noife of the people as they shouted, he faid unto Mofes, There is a noite of war in the camp.

18 And he faid, It is not the voice of them that shout for maftery, neither is it the voice of them that cry for being overcome: but the noife of them that fing do I hear.

5 And when Aaron faw it, he built an 19 And it came to pafs, as foon as he altar before it; and Aaron made procla-came nigh unto the camp, that he faw the mation, and faid, Tomorrow is a feaft to the LORD,

20 And he took the calf which they had made and burnt it in the fire, and ground it to powder, and ftrewed it upon the water, and made the children of Ifrael drink of it.

21 And Mofes faid unto Aaron, What Idid this people unto thee, that thou hast They have turned afide quickly out brought fo great a fin upon them? of the way which I commanded them: 22 And Aaron faid, Let not the anger they have made them a molten calf, and of my lord wax hot thou knowest the have worshiped it, and have facrificed people, that they are fet on mischief. thereunto, and faid, Thefe be thy gods, O Ifrael, which have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

27 And he faid unto them, Thus faith the LORD God of Ifaael, Put every man his fword by his fide, and go in and out from gate to gate throughout the camp, and flay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbour.

3 Unto a land flowing with milk and honey: for I will not go up in the midst of thee for thou art a ftiffnecked people: left I confume thee in the way.

4 And when the people heard thefe evil tidings, they mourned: and no man did put on him his ornaments.

5 For the LORD had faid unto Mofes, Say unto the children of Ifrael, Ye are a tiffnecked people: I will come up into the midst of thee in a moment, and confume thee: therefore now put off thy ornaments from thee, that I may know what to do unto thee.

6 And the children of Ifrael ftripped themfelves of their ornaments by the mount Horeb.

7 And Mofes took the tabernacle, and pitched it without the camp, afar off from 28 And the children of Levi did ac-the camp, and called it the tabernacle of cording to the word of Mofes : and there fell of the people that day about three thoufand men.

29 For Mofes had faid, Confecrate yourselves to day to the LORD,even every man upon his fon, and upon his brother; that he may bestow upon you a blesfing this day.

301 And it came to pafs on the morrow, that Mofes faid unto the people, Ye have finned a great fin: and now I will go up unto the LORD: peradventure ihall make an atonement for your fin.

31 And Moles returned unto the LORD and faid, Oh, this people have finned a great fin, and have made them gods of gold.

the congregation. And it came to pass, that every one which fought the LORD, went out unto the tabernacle of the congregation, which was without the camp.

8 And it came to pafs, when Mofes went out unto the tabernacle, that all the people rose up, and food every man_at his tent door, and looked after Mofes, until he was gone into the tabernacle.

9 And it came to pafs, as Mofes entered into the tabernacle, the cloudy pil. Ilar defcended, and ftood at the door of the taberxacle, and the LORD talked with Mofes.

10 And all the people faw the cloudy pillar ftand at the tabernacle door and all the people rose up and worshipped, every man in his tent door.

11 And the LORD fpake unto Mofes face to face, as a man fpeaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his fervant Joshua, the fon of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.

12 And Mofes faid unto the LORD, to thee: behold mine Angel hall go be-See, thou fayeft unto me, Bring up this fore thee: nevertheless, in the day when people and thou haft not let me know vifit, I will vifit their fin upon them. whom thou wilt fend with me. Yet thou 35 And the LORD plagued the people, haft faid, I know thee by name, and thou because they made the calf, which Aaron haft alfo found grace in my sight. made.

CHAP. XXXIII. The Lord refuseth to go with the people. 9 The Lordialketh with Mofes. 18 Mo fes defireth to fee the glory of God.

AND the LORD faid unto Moles, Depart, and go up hence, thou and the people which thou haft brought up out of the land of Egypt, unto the land which fware unto Abraham, to Ifaac, and to Jacob, faying, Unto thy feed will I give

13 Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy fight, fhew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy fight: and confider that this nation is thy people.

14 And he faid, My prefence fhall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.

15 And he faid unto him, If thy prefence go not with me, carry us not up hence.

16 For wherein fhall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace 2 And I will fend an angel before thee, in thy fight? Is it not in that thou goeft and I will drive out the Canaanite, the with us? So fhall we be feparated, I and Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Periz-thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.
