In presenting to the Musical Public the "Young Folk's Glee Book," the publisher would call special attention to the general features of the work as possessing unusual attractions. Nearly one hundred of the most popular Copyright Songs, Duets, &c. will be found within it. These embrace many of the principal pieces issued by the leading publishers of music, and being exclusively their own property, have not appeared in any other book.

The Choicest "Gems of German song," and Italian Airs, none of which have before been harmonized, form, also a distine tive feature. Of these nothing need be said, as their beauties are universally known and admired; and their arrangement in this present form cannot fail to be duly appreciated by every lover of a highly refined and classic style of music.

The words of the Songs, Duets, &c., are elevated in sentiment, and adapted to the feelings and desires of the great mass of the people.

In a word, the "Young Folk's Glee Book," is intended to be superior in every particular. Neither time, labor nor expense have been spared on the undertaking, and every possible care has been taken to render it acceptable to all into whose hands it may come.

The publisher would return his sincere thanks to Oliver Ditson, of Boston; Geo. Willig, of Baltimore, and Lee and Walker, of this city, and others, for the rare privilege granted him in the use of the many choice gems of music from their catalogues, and trusts that the increased value of this work thereby obtained will be duly acknowledged by all.

Entered, according to Act of Congress, in the year 1856, by OLIVER DITSON, in the Clerk's Office of the District Court of the District of Massachusetts.
