The Attention of Leaders of Choirs

AND

TEACHERS OF SINGING-SCHOOLS,

IS EARNESTLY REQUESTED TO THE

PHYSIOLOGICAL SYSTEM

Of Training Choirs and Teaching Singing Schools, contained in

44

“The Keystone Collection.'

BY PROF. A. N. JOHNSON, Author of "Instructions in Thorough Base," ," "Instructions in Harmony," "The Bay State Collection," "The Melodia Sacra," "The Handel Collection," and numerous other well known musical works.

Nature has ordained that in order to produce each and every singing tone, a particular position of the organs of the mouth and throat, and a particular direction of the breath is necessary. If these requisitions are complied with, the singer will certainly produce the desired tone; pure, mellow, perfect, and with perfect ease. If they are not complied with, the tone will certainly be impure and imperfect, and will be produced with a greater or less degree of difficulty. By the plain system of explanation for which all of Prof. Johnson's works are so justly celebrated, these positions of the vocal organs are taught in the Physiological system, in a way so perfectly simple and natural as to give every singer perfect control of his voice.

THE PUBLISHERS are fully convinced that this system for teaching singing schools and training choirs, is such

A VERY GREAT IMPROVEMENT

on any system heretofore published in church music books, as to merit THE ESPECIAL ATTENTION

of leaders of choirs and teachers of singing schools.
will be forwarded by mail, gratis, on application to the publishers.
