Apel, Johann August, born 1774, died 1816.
Bertuch, Friedrich Justin, b. 1748, d. 1822.
Bürger, Gottfried August, b. 1748, d. 1774.

Castelli, Johann Friedrich, b. 1781, lives in Vienna. Chamisso, Adalbert von, b. 1784 in France, at the castle of Boncourt in Champaign, quitted France with his parents during the revolution, and lived mostly in Berlin. During the years 1815 to 1818 he made a voyage round the world as naturalist attached to the expedition under the command of Kotzebue. Died in 1838.

Claudius, Mathias, b. 1740, known as the «Wandsbecker Bote» (from the place of his residence, Wandsbeck near Hamburgh). Died 1815.

Ewald, Friedrich, b. 1730. His not exactly known, when and where he died.

Fink, G. W. b. 1783, lives at Leipzig.

Freiligrath, Ferdinand, b. 1796, lives in Germany.

Fröhlich, Abraham Emanuel, b. 1796, lives at Aarau in

Switzerland.

Geibel, Emanuel, b. 1815, lives in Berlin.

Gellert, Christian Fürchtegott, b. 1715. d. 1769.

Gerhard, Wilhelm, b. 1780, lives at Leipzig.
