THIS Gazette commences with an address of
condolence to the Queen, on the occasion of the death of Her late Majesty Queen Adelaide, from the corporation of Dublin; which address was received very graciously.
Whitehall, December 29, 1849. The Queen has been pleased to direct letters patent to be passed under
the Great Seal, granting the dignity of a Knight of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland unto William Jeffcott, Esq. Recorder of Prince of Wales Island, Singapore, and Malacca.
