ORDER

FOR

EVENING SERVICE.

¶ All standing, the Minister may read one or more of the following sentences, or from those in the Collection.

THE

HE LORD is in his holy temple; let all the earth keep silence before Him.

HOLINESS becometh thine house, O LORD, forever.

BLESS ye the LORD, all ye servants of the LORD, who by night stand in the house of the LORD: lift up your hands in the sanctuary and bless the LORD. The LORD that made heaven and earth, bless thee out of Zion.

THUS saith the LORD, that created the heavens ; GOD Himself, that formed the earth and made it. I am the LORD; and there is none else; a just God and a Saviour, there is none besides Me.

LOOK unto Me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth; for I am GOD, and there is none else.

COME unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek, and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest to your souls.

Here one of supplicatory Selections on pages 20-53 may be sung, or read responsively.

Then may follow one or more of the introductions to prayer from the Collection, or the following:

UR FATHER, who art in the heavens: Hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so also upon the earth. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts as we also forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the Kingdom and the Power, and the Glory, forever. Amen.

All standing, the Sanctus may be sung: [See pages 7-9.]
