ten copies of the Minutes of their respective judicatories, to the Stated Clerk of General Synod.

Resolved, That measures be taken by the Board of Corporation, to renew the copy-right of the Psalm Book used in the Churches under the care of this Synod.

ARTICLE XXIII.

Finance.

The Committee on Finance reported, and their report was amended, adopted, and is as follows :

The Committee on Finance Report, That they have examined the two accounts submitted to Synod by the Committee for Repairing the College Edifice, with the accompanying vouchers, and find them

correct.

It is deemed proper to add, for the satisfaction of the parties concerned, that the following donations have been received by the Committee of Repairs, viz :-For Building a Cupola—from Stephen Van Rensselaer, $200; collections in New-Brunswick, by Dr. Dewitt, $100 50; Mr. Haines, $30; Abraham Van Nest, $75; Geo. Richmond $2 50; Thos. Letson, $100; T. M. Holcomb, $1; James Conover, $5-For General Repairs, from J. C. Ackerman, $10; A. Potts, $5; R. Letson, $5; J. Hicks, $5; Dr. F. Schenck, $10. From the examination of the above accounts, it appears that, after the application of the monies collected by the Committee of Repairs, the Synod are in debt for erecting and finishing the Cupola of the

Your Committee would recommend the adoption of the following resolutions, viz:

Resolved, That the above accounts be allowed, and the Treasurer be, and hereby is authorized to settle the same.

Resolved, That Messrs. John Frelinghuysen, Thos. Letson, and Peter Spader be continued as the Committee of Repairs for the year ending June, 1828.

The Committee add further, in relation to the report of the Committee for Purchasing the College Edifice, that they have examined the same, and find the calculations correct. As said Committee have fulfilled the duties assigned them, they recommend their discharge according to their request, and that Synod adopt the following resolution, viz:

Resolved. That this Synod entertain a deep and grateful sense of the zeal and faithfulness of Messrs. Abraham Van Nest, Jacob R. Hardenbergh and Isaac Heyer, in performing their arduous duties as a Committee for raising money and purchasing the College edifice at New-Brunswick, and that said Committee be, and hereby are dis

missed.

In relation to the accounts of the Treasurer of General Synod, the Committee can only remark, that they come to this body through the hands of the Board of Direction, who have examined and forwarded the same.

All which is submitted.

Resolved, That it be recommended to all Committees and indi. viduals, who transmit monies to the Treasurer of General Synod, to send therewith a particular statement by whom, for what purposes they are given, and what amount by each donor.

The door-keeper's bill amounting to $10 18, was presented, and ordered to be paid.

ARTICLE XXIV.

Resumption and Close.

The Minutes were read and approved.

Resolved. That the Stated Clerk publish 750 copies of the Minutes of this Synod. duly authenticated; and that he distribute among the Classes the number of copies directed by them.

Resolved That one hundred copies of the Minutes of General Synod of this year, be put at the disposal of the Elder Abraham Van Nest.

ARTICLE XXV.

Adjournment.

Synod adjourned to meet in the city of Albany on the first Wed nesday in June, 1828, at 10 o'clock A. M.

The collections which Synod have directed to be made in all the

Churches under their care, are:

For the Theological College, on the first Sabbath of November.

For the Permanent Fund, on the first Sabbath in May.

For the Contingent Fund, on the first Sabbath in January.

For the Missionary Fund, (in all those congregations where auxiliary socie

ties do not exist,) on the first Sabbath in September.

The twenty-five cent contribution is requested to be made on the last Sabbath in December.
