Gentlemen: It is with the greatest pleasure I give you my opinion of the Hammond Type Writer. I have used one for nearly a year, and I find it the most perfect working machine I ever saw (and I know every Type Writer in the market). The alignment is, and must be, perfect, the spacing of the letters is equally so. The ease with which one can change from one kind of type to another, renders it complete for all kinds of work. There are so many points of superiority above all others, it would be tiresome to attempt to point them out. One of its many advantages is that there is no danger of writing over the line already covered. Again, the page is in plain view, and any mistake can be seen and corrected at once. M D., Instructor in Diseases of Children, Medical Department of Harvard University, in the Boston Medical and Surgical Journal, Sept. 29, ISS7, says: "Cow's milk is the universal menstruum of infant Food's all over the world, and is the actual Food which the infant is getting; hence it is irrational and unfair to speak of and give the credit to the various artificial foods, when we really should speak of cow's milk, with its modification to a greater or less degree by certain adjuvants under the name of infant Foods, which all supply about the same variety of ingredients in common; such small amounts of these ingredients as to be of little benefit in nourishing the infant, and would not nourish it unlees aided by cow's milk.
