26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

27 She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which shold come into the world.

28 And when she had so said, she went her way, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Master is come, and calleth for thee.

29 As soon as she heard that, she arose quickly, and came unto him.

30 Now Jesus was not yet come into the town, but was in that place where Martha met him.

31 The Jews then which were with her in the house, and comforted her, when they saw Mary, that she rose up hastily and went out, followed her, saying, She goeth unto the grave to weep there.

32 Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, If thou hadst been here, my brother had rot died.

33 When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled,

34 And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see.

35 Jesus wept.

36 Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!

37 And some of them said, Could not this man, which opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that even this man should not have died?

38 Jesus therefore again groaning in himself, cometh to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it.

39 Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.

உசா அல்லாமலும் உயிரோடிருக்கையில் என்னிடத்தில் விசுவாச மாயிருக்கறவனெவனோ அவன் ஒருக்காலுமமரியா மலிருப்பான். இதை விசுவாசிக்கிறாயா வனறார்.

உஎ அவள்சொன்னது,ஆம் ஆண்டவரே, நீர்கிறிஸ்து: நீர் பராபரனுை யகுமாரன், நீர் உலகத்திலவரவேண் ன்று நான் விசுவாசிக்கிறேனென்றாள்.

உஅ இ படிச்சொன்னபின்பு அவள்போய்த்தன் சகோ திரிமரியாளை இரகசியமாய் அழைத்து, போதகர் வந்திருக் கிறார், உன்னை அழைக்கிறாரென்றாள்.

அதை அவள் கேட்ட வுடனே, சீக்கிரமாய் எழுந்து அவரிடத்திற் பானாள.

ங) அக்காலத்திலே இயேசுவானவர்கிராமத்திற்குளளே செல்லாமல், மார்த்தாள்தம்மைச் சந்தித்த இடத்திலேயிரு ந்தார்.

நக அப்பொழுது வீட்டிலே அவளுடனேகூட இருந்து அவளுக்கு ஆறுதல்செய்கிறயூார்கள், மரியாள் சீக்கிரமாய் எழுந்து புறப்பட்டுப்போகிறதைக்கண்டு, அவளகலலறையி னிடத்திலே அழுதுகொள்ளுமபடிபோகிறாளென்று பேசிக் கொண்டு அவளுக்குப் னசென்றார்கள்.

கூஉ இயேசுவானவரிருந்த இடத்திலே மரியாள சேர்ந்து அவரைக்கண்டவுடனே அவருடைய பாதத்தினருகே விழுந் து, ஆண்டவரே, நீர் இங்கேயிருந்தீரானால் என சகோதர னமரிக்கமாட்டானேயென்றாள்.

ம் அவளுடனே கூடப்போனயூதரும் அழுகி றதை இயேசுவானவர்கணடபொழுது, உள்ளத்திலிருந்து

பெருமூச்சுவிட்டுக்கலங்கி,

ஙச அவனையெங்கேவைத்தீர்களெனறார். ஆண்டவரே,

நீர்வந்துபாருமென்றார்கள்.

ஙரு இயேசுவானவர்கணணீர்விடடார்.

யூசர்கள் அதைப்பார்த்து இதோ, அவர் அவனிடத் தில மிகவும் பட்சமாயிருந்தாரே யன்றார்கள்.

ஙஎ அவர்களிற் சிலர்சொன்னது, குருட

டைய கணகளை

த்திறந்த இவர் அவனை மரியாமலிருக்கப்பண்ணவுங்கூடா தாவென்றார்கள்.

கூஅ அ பொழுது இயேசுவானவர் மறுபடியுந் தமக்கு ள்ளே பெருமூச்சுவிட்டுப்பின் புகலலறையினிடததிற்சேர்ந் தார், அது ஒருகுகையாயிருந்தது. அதினமேலே ஒருகல் வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது

கூகூ அ பா ாழுது இயேசுவானவர், கல்லையெடு யடுத்துப் போடுங்களென றார். மரித்தவனுடையசகோ தரியாகியமார் த்தாள் அ வரைநோக்கி, ஆண்டவ வரே, இவன் புதைக்கப்பட

40 Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?

41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.

42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.

43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with aloud voice, Lazarus, come forth.

44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with grave clothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him

go.

45 Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him.

46 But some of them went their ways to the Pharisees, and told them what things Jesus had done.

47 Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles.

48 If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation.

49 And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all,

50 Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.

51 And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;

சுய அவளை இயேசுவானவர்நோக்கி, நீ விசுவாசித்தாற் பராபரனுடையமகிமையைக் காண்பா யன்று நான் உனக் குச்சொல்லவில்லையாவென்றார்.

சக பினபு சவம்வைக்கப்பட்டகையிலிருந்த கல்லையெ டுத்துப்போட்டார்கள். அப்பெ பொழுது இயேசுவானவர்கண களையுயர்த்தி, பிதாவே, நீர் எனக்குச்செவிகொடுத்தபடியி னாலே உம்மைத்தோத்திரஞ்செய்கிறேன்.

சஉ நீர் எப்பொழுதும் எனக்குச் செவிகொடுக்கிறதை யறிந்திருக்கிறேன்: சூழ்நிற்கிறசனங்கள் நீர் என்னையனுப் பினதைவிசுவாசிக்கும்படிக்கு அவர்களினிமித்தமேஇப்படி ச்சொன்னேனென்றுசொல்லி,

சங பின்பு இலாசருவே, வெளியேவாவென்றுமிகுநதசத் தத்தோடேகூட பிட்டார்.

சேலை

சுச அப்பொழுதுமரித்தவன் கால்களுங்கைகளுங்கட்டி பிருந்த சேலைகளோடும் முகஞசுற்றப்பட டிருந்த யோடும் வேளியேவந்தான். பின்பு இயேசுவானவர்சொன் னது, இவனுடைய கட்டவிழ்த்து இவனைவிட்டு விடுங்களென றார்.

சரு அப்பொழுதுமரியாளிடத்திற்குபபோய இயேசுவா னவர்செய்தவைகளைக்கண்டயூதரில் அநேகர் அவரிடத்தில்

விசுவாசமானார்கள்.

ம

சக வேறுசிலர் பரிசேயரிடத்திற்குபபோய இயேசுவா னவர்செய்தவைகளை அவர்களுக்கு அறிவித்தார்கள். சஎ அப்பொழுது பிரதான ஆசாரிரு ம்பரி சேயரும் பெரிய ஆலோசனைச் சங்கத்தார்வந்து கூடும்படி செய்து ஆலோசனைச்சஙகத்தார்வந்து பின்பு சொன்னதாவது, அந்த மனிதன் அநேக அற்புதஙக ளைச்செய்துவருகிறான்.

சஅ நாம் அவனுக்கு இடங்கொடுத்தால் எல்லாரும் அவனிடத்திலவிசுவாசமாவார்கள்: பினபு உரோமர்வந்து, நம்முடையஸ்தலத்தையுஞ் சனங்களையும் எடுத்துக்கொள் ளுவார்கள். ஆதலால் நாம் என்னசெய்வோமென றார்கள். சகூ அப்பொழுது அவர்களிலொருவனுமாய அவ்வருஷ த்துப்பிரதான ஆசாரியனுமாயிருந்த காயிபாவென்பவன் அவர்களை நோக்கி, நீங்கள் ஒன்றுந்தெரியாதவர்கள்,

ருய சனங்களெல்லாருங்கெட்டுப்போகாதபடிக்கு ஒரே மனிதன் சனங்க ககாகமரணம்டைவதே நமக்கு நலமாயி க்குமென்று நீங்கள் சிந்தியாமலுமிருக்கிறீர்களென்றான். ருக இப்படி அவன் தானாய்ச் சொல்லாமல் அவன் அந்த வருஷத்திற்பிரதான ஆசாரியனாயிருக்க இயேசுவானவர்யூத் ச்சனங்களுக்காக மரணம அடைவதைத்தீ கக த ரிசனமாய

52 And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad.

53 Then from that day forth they took counsel together for to put him to death.

54 Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews; but went thence unto a country near to the wilderness, into a city called Ephraim, and there continued with his disciples.

55 And the Jews' passover was nigh at hand and many went out of the country up to Jerusalem before the passover, to purify themselves.

56 Then sought they for Jesus, and spake among themselves, as they stood in the temple, What think ye, that he will not come to the feast?

57 Now both the chief priests and the Pharisees had given a commandment. that, if any man knew where he were, he should shew it, that they might take him.

CHAPTER XII.

1 Jesus excuseth Mary anointing his feet. The people flock to see I azarus. 10 The high priests consult to kill him. 12 Christ rideth into Jerusalem. 20 Greeks desire to see Jesus. 23 He foretelleth his death. 37 The Jews are generally blinded: 42 Yet many chief rulers believe, but do not confess him: 44 Therefore Jesus calleth earnestly for confession of faith.

THEN Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.

2 There they made him a supper; and Martha served but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him.
