Gen. ii:

Luke xii:

IMMORTALITY OF THE SOUL.

7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.

20 But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?

Mat. xvi: 26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

James v:

20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

I Tim. vi: 12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

Psal. xlix: 15 But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me.

Mark ix:

Selah.

2 And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into a high mountain apart by themselves.

4 And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus.

II Tim. i: 9 Who hath saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began;

10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. I Cor. xv: 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorrup tion, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

Psal. xvii: 15 As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.

9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:

II And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellow servants also and their brethren that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled. 4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Isa. ii:

Isa. xi:

TRIUMPH OF CHRIST'S KINGDOM.

2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established in the top of the mountains and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.

3 And many people shall
and say,
go
Come ye, and let
us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the
God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we
will walk in his paths; for out of Zion shall go forth the
law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke
many people; and they shall beat their swords into plough-
shares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall
not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn

war any more.

9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.

Jer. xxxi: 34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord; for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

Mark iv:

30 And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it? 31 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth:

32 But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it.

Matt. xxiv: 14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations.

I Cor. xv: 24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule, and all authority, and power.

25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

Psa. lxxii: 8 He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.

Hab. ii:

Eph. iv:

14 For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.

13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ.

Psa. cxxxiii: Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity.

Eph. iv:

3 Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling:

5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

CHRIST'S SECOND COMING.

John xvi:

Acts i:

22 And ye now therefore have sorrow; but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.

II Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner, as ye have seen him go into heaven.

Matt. xxiv: 30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn,

and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Mark viii: 38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words, in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him also shall the son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

Rev. i:

7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and thy also which pierced him; and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. Mark xiii: 24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light.

I Thes. v:

25 And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken;

26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.

32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

33 Take ye heed, watch and pray; for ye know not when the time is.

34 For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.

35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:

36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.

37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

I But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.

2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cameth as a thief in the night.

Rev. xvi: 15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

Heb. x:

37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.

Rev. xxii: 20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly: Amen. Even so, come Lord Jesus.

RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD.

I Cor. xv:

Luke xx:

51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep; but we shall all be changed,

52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound; and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

37 Now that the dead are raised, even Moses shewed at the bush, when he calleth the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.

28 For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him.

Acts xxvi: 8 Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise the dead?

John v:

28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,

29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurreeton of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

I Cor. xv. 42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption:

43 It is sown in dishonour, it is raised in glory; it is sown
in weakness, it is raised in power:

44 It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.
There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
45 And so it is written, the first man Adam was made a
living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that
which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the
first-fruits of them that slept.

21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

I Thes. iv: 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and so we shall ever be with the Lord.

THE LAST JUDGMENT.

Jude:

14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousand of his saints,

15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. Ps. xcviii: 9 For he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.

II Pet. iii:

Psal. ix:

7 The heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

7 But the Lord shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment.

8 And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness.

I Tim. v: 24 Some men's sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they follow after.

Heb. ix:.

Eccl. iii:

25 Likewise also the good works of some are manifest beforehand; and they that are otherwise cannot be hid. 27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment;

17 God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.

Matt. xii: 36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

Eccl. xii:

II Cor. v:

I Cor. iv:

Rev. xx:

37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
