TO CORRESPONDENTS.

The "Oriole," "Memories," and "The Signs of the Times," are rejected.

"Apothegms, Aphorisms," &c. is under consideration.

"Midnight Reflections," and "The Unloved One," are accepted.

"The Wreck," "Manly Beauty," "The Wanderer's Return," and "Siege of Jerusalem," are respectfully declined.

We are sorry to decline the lines of "L. C."-with a little more finish, they would do him credit.

Our refusal of the piece entitled, "The Loss of the Pulaski," is not owing to its length, but to the fact, that we have already published one on the same subject.

"A Parody; Go, Forget me,”—we will, if possible. "The Widow and her Child," is gladly accepted.

"I'll Think of Thee," "Death of the First Born," and "The Fountain of Marah," are rejected.

"A College Night Piece," and "Lines," by Kappa, are declined.

The dim manuscript of "H." is returned, as directed, through the Post Office.-We hope the next time he tests our corporeal and mental vision, he will send us a written communication.

WANTED-One or two assistants, moderately versed in the art of punctuation.
