are contained in the British Pharmacopoeia ? State their respective strengths and doses.

3. Describe Datura Stramonium; state briefly its physiological actions and therapeutical uses, and give its officinal preparations and doses.

4. What is Podophyllin? Give its officinal preparations and doses, and describe its medicinal actions and uses.

5. Contrast the medicinal actions and uses of Opium and Chloral Hydrate.

6. Describe the medicinal actions and uses of Cod Liver Oil.

5. What are the signs, symptoms, and treatment of Traumatic Hæmatocele of the tunica vaginalis?

6. What are the signs and symptoms of stone in the male bladder, and what morbid conditions are likely to be induced if the bladder is not relieved of the foreign body?

FIFTH YEAR.

The Board of Examiners.

1. What are the symptoms of an acute deep-seated abscess in the neck? Describe the treatment that would be necessary, and mention the possible consequences of such an abscess.

2. Mention the causes which may produce extravasation of urine into the perineum; state also the local and constitutional symptoms which attend it, and the treatment required.

3. What are the symptoms of strangulated hernia? Describe the different appearances and morbid conditions that may be seen in a piece of strangulated intestine when exposed in the operation of herniotomy.

4. Describe the two most common forms of traumatic dislocation of the head of the femur; mention the position of the head of the bone, the symptoms, and the treatment in each respectively.
