O come, come away!

The heavenly hosts attending
Inspire the song our lips prolong;
O come, come away!

"The Spirit" cries to all around,
"The Bride" takes up the welcome sound,
And we'll make the notes resound,
O come, come away!

FATHER, to Thee our souls we raise,

And for a blessing look;

Prevent, and help us by Thy grace,
In learning of our book.

2 Give us an humble, active mind,
From sloth and folly free;
Give us a cheerful heart, inclined
To truth and piety.

3. A faithful memory bestow;
With solid learning store;
And still, O Lord, as more we know,
Let us obey Thee more.

4 Let us things excellent discern;
Hold fast what we approve;
And, above all, delight to learn
The lessons of Thy love.

G Increase our Sunday-schools;

God bless our schools.

On them in mercy shine,
May every child be Thine,
And love our hearts entwine;
God bless our schools.

2. Our teachers likewise bless,
And give them large success
In winning souls.

May they encouraged be,
And ever may they see

Their labours crowned by Thee;
God bless our schools.

3 So may our schools increase,
In knowledge, love, and grace;
God bless our schools.
And while death's arrows fly,
And honour'd teachers die,
May others still arise;

God bless our schools.

OF Thy love some gracious token

Grant us, Lord, before we go;

Bless Thy word which has been spoken;
Life and peace on all bestow.
When we join the world again,

Let our hearts with Thee remain:

O, direct us,

And protect us,

Till we gain the heavenly shore,
Where Thy people want no more.

ORD, dismiss us with Thy blessing!
Bid us now depart in peace;
Still on heavenly manna feeding,
Let our faith and love increase:
Fill each breast with consolation;
Up to Thee our hearts we raise:
When we reach yon blissful station,
Then we'll give Thee nobler praise!
Hallelujah!

MAX to the Father's boundless love,
With the Holy Spirit's favour,
Rest upon us from above.
Thus may we abide in union

AY the grace of Christ our Saviour,

With each other and the Lord;
And possess, in sweet communion,
Joys which earth cannot afford.

TIMES AND SEASONS.

For Morning.

L. M.

153.

WAKE, my soul, and with the sun
Thy daily stage of duty run:
Shake off dull sloth, and joyful rise,
To pay thy morning sacrifice.

2 Thy precious time mis-spent redeem;
Each present day thy last esteem;
Improve thy talent with due care;
For the great day thyself prepare.

3 In conversation be sincere,

Keep conscience as the noon-tide clear;
Think how all-seeing God thy ways,
And all thy secret thoughts surveys.
4 Wake, and lift up thyself, my heart,
And with the angels bear thy part,
Who all night long unwearied sing
High praises to the' eternal King.

5 Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye heavenly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

CHRIST, whose glory fills the skies,

Christ, the true, the only Light,

Sun of Righteousness, arise,

Triumph o'er the shades of night!
Day-Spring from on high, be near!
Day-Star, in my heart appear!

2 Dark and cheerless is the morn,
Unaccompanied by Thee;
Joyless is the day's return,

Till Thy mercy's beams I see;
Till they inward light impart,
Glad my eyes, and warm my heart.

3 Visit, then, this soul of mine,
Pierce the gloom of sin and grief!
Fill me, Radiancy Divine;

Scatter all my unbelief!

More and more Thyself display,
Shining to the perfect day !

GOD of our

Thine acts of love 'tis good to sing,
And pleasant Thee to praise.

2 Sustain'd by Thee, our opening eyes
Salute the morning light;
Secure we stand, unhurt by all
The dangers of the night.

3 Our life renew'd, our strength repair'd,
To Thee, O God, are due:
Teach us Thy ways, and give us grace
Our duty to pursue.

4 From every enemy defend,

But guard us most from sin :
Direct our going out, O Lord,
And bless our coming in.

5 O may Thy holy fear command

Each action, thought, and word!
Then shall we sweetly close the day,
Approv'd of Thee, our Lord.

RAISE the Lord! 'tis Sabbath morning,
Bringing rest from toil and care;

And the bell peals forth its warning,
Calling to the house of prayer.

2 Praise the Lord with songs resounding!
'Tis the day that He hath blest;
Every heart with joy be bounding
On this hallow'd day of rest.

3 Praise the Lord, whose mercy sought us
Lost, and wandering far astray:
Sing to Him who nigh has brought us,
By Himself, the Truth, the Way!
