Therefore thus faith the Lord God of Israel against the pastours that feed my people, Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them ; behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, faith the Lord.

And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear (for they are a rebellious house) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet a
And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions : be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.
And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, for they are moft rebellious.
Ezek. 3. 17, 18, 19, 20, 21. Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel : therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. w:

Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity ;- but thou hast deliver'd thy foul,
Again, when a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumbling-block before him, he shall die : because thou hait not given him warning, he shall die in his fin, and his righteousness which he has done, shall not be remembred; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

and say unto them, when I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman :
If when he feeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people;
Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trum, pet, and taketh not warning ; if the sword come and take him away, his bloud shall be upon his own head.
He heard the found of the trumpet, and took not warning, his bloud shall be upon him; but he that taketh warning, shall deliver his soul.
But if the watchman fee the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned: if the sword come and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity, but his bloud will I require at the watchman's hand.
So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel : therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.
When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die ; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked man from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his bloud will I require at thine hand.

And they were scattered, because there is no shepherd : and they became meat to all the beasts of the field, when they were scattered.
My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and upon every high hill : yea, my flock was scat tered upon all the face of the earth, and none did search or feek after them.
Therefore, ye shepherds, hear the word of the Lord.
As I live, faith the Lord God, surely because my flock became a prey, and my flock became meat to every beast of the field, because there was no shepherd, neither did my shepherds search for my flock, but the shepherds fed themselves, and fed not my flock;
Therefore, O ye shepherds, hear ye the word of the Lord ;
Thus faith the Lord God, Behold, I am againft the shepherds, and I will require my flock at their hands, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock, neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more ; for I will deliver my flock from their mouth, that they may not be meat for them.

And now I pray you, beseech God that he will be gracious unto us ; this hath been by your means; will he regard your persons faith the Lord of hofts.
