REFERENCES, TO SELECT PORTIONS OF THE HOLY SCRIPTURES. The following arrangement of portions of the Holy Scriptures is not made with the view to supersede the reading throughout, in regular order, the sacred volume. Perhaps the most edifying and instructive method of reading the Word of God in a family, is regularly to go through the New Testament in the morning, and to select parts of the Old in the Evening. For occasional use, however, in a family or social circle, the writer humbly hopes that the following selection will not be unacceptable. The HOLY SCRIPTURES. Psalm xix.
