| By Act 32 & 33 Vict. c. 43, the Salaries and Allowances of the Diplomatic Service were transferred from the Consolidated Fund to the annual Civil Service Estimates from April 1869; and all pensions subsequently granted are similarly provided for. The pensions included above are, therefore, those which were granted prior to April 1869. $ One moiety of this pension, viz. 1,0801., payable to the Duke

of Leede, was commuted in 1876 ; and 961. per annum of the remaining moiety was commuted in 1877.
