AUTHOR'S NOTE.

SOME of these ideas are my own so far as I know, others are not mine. We all learn from those who have gone before, while others learn from us, and so it goes on. I have said a good deal about helping our friends and ourselves instead of being dependent on all the people. Some may think too much, but I do not think that anyone can say too much against the present Socialistic system of slavery.

The most important work in all books should be to make people think for themselves instead of being dependent all the time on the thoughts and work of other people, and the book that does that will certainly do them more good than all the books in Christendom.
