Merrilyn is uniquely placed: currently Commissioner, NSW Health Care Complaints Commission, after ten years in the field. Besides academic qualifications, including a BA and MA in social work, Merrilyn's extensive credentials include a long career of social activism and effective public service: legal aid, public health, community medicine, social work etc, as well as lecturing and writing.
