Scholars include Whitly Stokes, Sir John Rhys, Arthur Simpson Napier, Sir Israel Gollancz, Hector Munro Chadwick, Raymond Wilson Chambers, Sir Allen Mawer, Sir Ifor Williams, Kenneth Sisam, Nora Kershaw Chadwick, Dorothy Whitelock, Francis Wormald, Peter Hunter Blair, Thomas Julian Brown. The appendix lists the bibliographies of each scholar. Each obituary retains its original font and includes a photographic portrait; most were previously published in The Proceedings of the British Academy . |
