It was concluded a very short time pre vions to his decease; it assisted in cheering and en gaging his mind, in soothing the languor of declin ing health, and in recalling the delightful remem brance of former associates, and of a long course of intellectual pursuits. To his friends these circum stances will render the Work additionally valuable.
