other, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord.

34 And all flesh shall know that I the Lord am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob: for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

35 For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.

36 For I know their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory.

37 And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles.

38 Fear not; for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west:

39 I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;

wings; and ye shall go forth and grow up as calves of the stall.

42 And ye shall tread down the wicked for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet, in the day that I shall do this, saith the Lord of hosts.

43 They also that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, and they that murmured shall learn doctrine.

THUS saith the Lord that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, which will help thee : Fear not, O Jacob my servant, and thou Jesurun whom I have chosen.

2 For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:

3 And they shall spring up as among the grass, as willows by the water-courses.

4 I will instruct thee, and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

¶5 Zion shall be redeemed with judgement, and her converts with righteousness.

9 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely and this is his name whereby he shall be called, The Lord our Righteousness.

10 And in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it.

11 And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob, and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

15 In that day, saith the Lord, will I assemble her that halteth, and I will gather her that is driven out, and her that I have afflicted:

16 And I will make her that halted a remnant, and her that was cast far off a strong nation: and the Lord shall reign over them in mount Zion from henceforth even for ever.

17 Sing, O heavens, and be joyful, O earth, and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the Lord hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted.

18 But Zion said, The Lord hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me.

19 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.

20 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands, thy walls are continually before me.

21 Sing, O ye heavens ; for the Lord hath done it: shout, ye lower parts of the earth: break forth into singing, ye mountains, O forest, and every tree therein: for the Lord hath redeemed Jacob, and glorified

SECTION I.-God the Creator.

O LORD, thou spakest from the beginning of the creation, even the first day, and saidst thus; Let heaven and earth be made and thy word was a perfect work.

2 And then was the spirit; and darkness and silence were on every side; the sound of man's voice was not yet formed.

3 Then commandedst thou a fair light to come forth of thy treasures, that thy work might appear.

4 Upon the second day thou madest the spirit of the firmament, and commandedst it to part asunder, and make a division betwixt the waters, that the one part might go up, and the other remain beneath.

5 Upon the third day thou didst command that the waters should be gathered in the seventh part of the earth: six parts hast thou dried up, and kept them to the intent that of these some being planted of God and tilled might serve thee.

6 For as soon as thy word went forth, the work was made.

7 For immediately there was great and innumerable fruit, and many and divers pleasures for the taste, and flowers of unchangeable colour, and odours of wonderful smell: and this was done the third day.

8 Upon the fourth day thou commandedst that the sun should shine, and the moon give her light, and the stars should be in order:

9 And gavest them a charge to do service unto man, that was to be made.

10 Upon the fifth day thou saidst unto the seventh part, where the waters were gathered, that it should bring forth living creatures, fowls and fishes and so it came to pass.

11 For the dumb water, and without life, brought forth living things at the commandment of God, that all people might praise thy wondrous works.

12 He that liveth for ever, created all things:

13 Which spake but the word, Let the earth be made; and it was made: Let the heaven be made; and it was created.

14 In his word were the stars made, and he knoweth the number of them.

15 He searcheth the deep, and the treasures thereof; he hath measured the sea and what it containeth.

16 He hath shut the sea in the midst of the waters, and with his word hath he hanged the earth upon the waters.

17 He spreadeth out the heavens like a vault; upon the waters hath he founded it.

18 In the desert hath he made springs of water, and pools upon the tops of the mountains, that the floods might pour down from the high rocks to water the earth.

19 He made man, and put his heart in the midst of the body, and and understanding.

gave him breath, life,

¶20 In the beginning, when the earth was made, before the borders of the world stood, or ever the winds blew,

21 Before it thundered and lightened, or ever the foundations of paradise were laid,

22 Before the fair flowers were seen, or ever the moveable powers were established, before the innumerable multitude of angels were gathered together,

23 Or ever the heights of the air were lifted up, before the measures of the firmament were named,

24 And ere the present years were sought out, and or ever the inventions of them that now sin were turned, before they were sealed that have gathered faith for a treasure ;

25 Then did the Lord consider these things, and they all were made through him alone, and through none other: by him also they shall be ended, and by none other.

THE Lord created man of the earth, and turned him into it again.

2 He gave them few days, and a short time, and power also over the things therein.

3 He endued them with strength by themselves, and made them according to his image.

4 And put the fear of man upon all flesh, and gave him dominion over beasts and fowls.

5 Counsel, and a tongue, and eyes, ears, and a heart, gave he them to understand.

6 Withal he filled them with the knowledge of understanding, and showed them good and evil.

7 He set his eye upon their hearts, that he might show them the greatness of his works.

8 He gave them to glory in his marvellous acts for ever, that they might declare his works with understanding.

9 And the elect shall praise his holy name.

10 Beside this he gave them knowledge, and the law of life for an heritage.

11 He made an everlasting covenant with them, and showed them his judgements.

12 Their eyes saw the majesty

of his glory, and their ears heard the words of the Lord are his his glorious voice. works.

15 For sun, moon, and stars, being bright, and sent to do their offices, are obedient.

16 In like manner the lightning when it breaketh forth is easy to be seen; and after the same manner the wind bloweth in every country.

17 And when God commandeth the clouds to go over the whole world, they do as they are bidden.

18 He garnished his works for ever, and in his hand are the chief of them unto all generations: they neither labour, nor are weary, nor cease from their works.

19 None of them hindereth another, and they shall never disobey his word.

20 After this the Lord looked upon the earth, and filled it with his blessings.

21 With all manner of living things hath he covered the face thereof; and they shall return into it again.

I WILL remember the works of the Lord, and declare the things that I have seen: In

2 The sun that giveth light looketh upon all things, and the work thereof is full of the glory of the Lord.

3 The Lord hath not given power to the saints to declare all his marvellous works, which the Almighty Lord firmly settled, that whatsoever is, might be established for his glory.

4 He hath garnished the excellent works of his wisdom, and he is from everlasting to everlasting unto him may nothing be added, neither can he be diminished, and he hath no need of any counsellor.

5 Oh how desirable are all his works! and that a man may see even to a spark.

6 All these things live and remain for ever for all uses, and they are all obedient.

7 All things are double one against another: and he hath made nothing imperfect.

8 One thing establisheth the good of another: and who shall be filled with beholding his glory?

9 The pride of the height, the clear firmament, the beauty of heaven, with his glorious show;

10 The sun when it appeareth, declaring at his rising a marvellous instrument, the work of the most High:

11 At noon it parcheth the country, and who can abide the burning heat thereof?

12 A man blowing a furnace is in works of heat, but the sun burneth the mountains three times more; breathing
