Condemned by a Judge of earth, Yet, when He first appear'd on earth, The heavenly host proclaim'd his birth; The water's firmness where He trodeThe risen dead declared him God. A.-Love to you, and love to me, He became the Lamb of God, Life's great Lord to yield his breath! Well the earth may shrink with fright, To view the Sun of Righteousness He is gone to Paradise; For Easter Sunday. OUR Saviour hath risen in strength and in might, We need not fear death nor the grave; Nor need all the powers of darkness affright, While Jesus is mighty to save.
