ADVERTISEMENTS OF STALLIONS.

Vitellius is by Ebberston, out of the dam of Sir Tatton Sykes, the winner of the Great St Leger stakes at Doncaster in 1846.

He is a beautiful black horse, stands 15 hands 3 inches high; is six years old, sound and free from any natural blemish, and possesses perfect symmetry, a fine temper, and splendid action.

Vitellius's performancer on the turf, as a three years old, were of a very superior character; and, at four years old, he won the Great Northamptonshire stakes in 1844, beating Hooton, Knight of the Whistle, Naworth, and other celebrated horses, sixteen starting; and, the following day, he won her Majesty's Guineas, beating St Lawrence easily.

His public running has been invariably good, for further particulars of which see Racing Calendar.

N.B. Good accommodation for mares and foals, at the usual prices. All expenses to be paid before the mares are taken away.

Good accommodation for thorough-bred mares at 6s. a week. Corn at the market price.

NEWMARKET CRAVEN MEETING, 1847.

TUESDAY.-Renewal of the Newmarket Handicap Stakes of 25 sov. each, 10 ft. and only 5 if declared to Messrs Weatherby on or before the 24th of January, with 100 added from the Town Racefund, and 100 by the Jockey Club, for three yrs old and upwards; Clermont Course, about a mile and three quarters; the owner of the second horse to receive 100 sov. out of the stakes.
