31 Now is the judgment of this world; now shall the prince of this world be cast out. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

33 This he said, signifying what death he should die.

34 The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth for ever; and how sayest thou, The Son of Man must be lifted up? who is this Son of Man?

35 Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.

36 While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.

37 But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him: That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfiled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?

39 Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again, He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them. 41 These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.

42 Nevertheless, among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue. For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

44 Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me. And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me.

46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.

47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent ine, he gave me a commandment, what I should say and what I should speak.

50 And know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me,

so I speak.

LXV.

John, Chap. 13. Mark, Chap. 14.

Matthew, Chap. 26.

Now before the fest of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was com that he should depart out of this world unto the Father having loved his own which were in the world, he loved em unto the end.

2 And suppeoeing ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Jug Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him;

3 Jesus knong that the Father had given all things into his hands, and at he was come from God, and went to God;

4 He risethrom supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a tow, and girded himself. After that he poureth water into basɔn, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe the with the towel wherewith he was girded.

6 Then meth he to Simon Peter: and Peter said unto him, Lordost thou wash my feet? Jesus answered and said unto him, hat I do thou knowest not now; but thou shal know hereer.

8 Peterith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answed him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with SimPeter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my has and my head.

me.

10 Jesuith unto him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash heet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not al For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, are not all clean.

12 Ser he had washed their feet, and had taken his garmies ad was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye w I lave done to you?

1e call me Master and Lord; and ye say well; for so I alf I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet: ye ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given yn example, that ye should do as I have done to you.

Verily, verily, I say unte you, The servant is not greater his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them. 8 I speak not of you ali: I know whom I have chosen: that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread

with me hath lifted up his heel against me. Now I tell you before it come, that, when it is come to pass, y may believe that I am he.

20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that reciveth whomsoever I send, receiveth me; and he that eceivet me receiveth him that sent me.

21 When Jesus had thus said, he wastroubled in spirit, and testified, and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.

22 Then the disciples looked one on hother, doubting of whom he spake. And they began to be strowful, and to say unto him one by one, Is it I? and anotheraid, Is it I?

20 And he answered and said unto the It is one of the twelve that dippeth with me in the dish.

21 The Son of Man indeed goeth, as is written of him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of an is betrayed! good were it for that man if he had never be born.

23 Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosch me of his disciples, whom Jesus loved. Simon Peter therore beckoned to him, that he should ask who it should beof whom he spake. He then lying on Jesus' breast saith uo him, Lord, who is it?

26 Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I sh give a sop, when I have dipped it. And when he had dipd the sop, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon. And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus to him, That thou doest, do quickly.

28 Now no man at the table knew for what ent he spake this unto him. For some of them thought, bese Judas had the bag, that Jesus had said unto him, Buy thoshings that we have need of against the feast; or, that he she give something to the poor.

30 He then having received the sop went imetely out : and it was night. And he went unto the chie Psts, and said unto them, What will ye give me, and I wil over hi unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirtyeces of silver.

16 And from that time he sought opportunity betray him. Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus said, DW is the Son of Man glorified, and God is glorified in him.

32 If God be glorified in hm, God shall also glorifin in himself, and shall straightway glorify him.

33 Little children, yet a little while I am with yoty

shall seek me and as I said unto the Jews, Whither I go, ye cannot come: so now I say to you.

34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Luke, Chap. 22. Matthew, Chap. 26.

AND it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these say ings, he said unto his disciples, Ye know that after two days is the feast of the passover, and the Son of Man is betrayed to be crucified.

7 Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the passover must be killed. And Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare us the passover, that we may eat. And they said unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare?

10 And he said unto them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth in.

11 And ye shall say unto the good man of the house, The Master saith unto thee, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?

12 And he shall shew you a large upper room furnished : there make ready. And they went, and found as he had said unto them; and they made ready the passover.

14 And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him.

15 And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer: For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.

26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body, which is given for you: do this in re membrance of me.

27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it: for this is my blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

29 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom. And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.

31 Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad. 32 But after I am risen again, I will go before you Galilee.

into

33 Peter answered and said unto him, Though all men should be offended because of thee, yet will I never be offended.

34 Jesus said unto him, Verily, I say unto thee, that this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.

35 Peter said unto him, Though I should die with thee, ye. will I not deny thee. Likewise also said all the disciples.

LESSON LXVII.

John, Chap. 14.

THEN said Jesus unto his disciples, Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me..

2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?

6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me.

7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. 8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.

9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father.

1 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father, that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

11 Believe me, that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.

12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
