16 He that believeth, and 17 And these signs shall 18 They shall take up ser- 19 So then, after the Lord 20 And they went forth, LUKE. * Καὶ προσελθὼν ὁ πειράζων εἶπεν αὐτῷ Εἰ υἱὸς εἶ τοῦ Θεοῦ, εἰπὲ ἵνα οἱ λίθοι οὗτοι ἄρτοι γένωνται. 4 'Ο δὲ ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν Γέγραπται Οὐκ ἐπ' ἄρτῳ μόνῳ ζήσεται ὁ ἄνθρωπος, ἀλλ ̓ ἐν παντὶ ξήματι ἐκπορευομένῳ διὰ στόματος Θεοῦ. 5 Τότε παραλαμβάνει αὐτὸν ὁ διάβολος εἰς τὴν ἁγίαν πόλιν καὶ ἵστησιν αὐτὸν ἐπὶ τὸ πτερύγιον τοῦ ἱεροῦ, 6 Καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ Εἰ υἱὸς εἶ τοῦ Θεοῦ, βάλε σεαυτὸν κάτω γέγραπται γὰρ ὅτι τοῖς ἀγγέλοις αὐτοῦ ἐντελεῖται περὶ σοῦ καὶ ἐπὶ χειρῶν ἀροῦσίν σε, μή ποτε προσκόψης πρὸς λίθον τὸν πόδα σου. 7 1 Εφη αὐτῷ ὁ ̓Ιησοῦς Πάλιν γέγραπται Οὐκ ἐκπειράσεις Κύριον τὸν Θεόν σου. 8 Πάλιν παραλαμβάνει αὐτὸν ὁ διάβολος εἰς ὄρος ὑψηλὸν λίαν καὶ δείκνυσιν αὐτῷ πάσας τὰς βασιλείας τοῦ κόσμου καὶ τὴν δόξαν αὐτῶν, • Καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ Ταῦτά σοι πάντα δώσω, See v. 8. ἐὰν πεσὼν προσκυνήσης μοι. LUKE IV. 1. IV. 1 ̓Ιησοῦς δὲ πλήρης πνεύματος ἁγίου ὑπέστρεψεν ἀπὸ τοῦ Ἰορδάνου, καὶ ἤγετο ἐν τῷ πνεύματι ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ 2 9 Ημέρας τεσσεράκοντα πειραζόμενος ὑπὸ τοῦ διαβόλου. Καὶ οὐκ ἔφαγεν οὐδὲν ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ἐκείναις, καὶ συντελεσθεισῶν αὐτῶν (ὕστερον) ἐπείνασεν. 8 Εἶπεν δὲ αὐτῷ ὁ διάβολος Εἰ υἱὸς εἰ τοῦ Θεοῦ, εἰπὲ τῷ λίθῳ τούτῳ ἵνα γένηται ἄρτος. 4 Καὶ ἀπεκρίθη πρὸς αὐτὸν ὁ Ἰησοῦς Γέγραπται ὅτι οὐκ ἐπ' ἄρτῳ μόνῳ ζήσεται ὁ ἄνθρωπος (ἀλλ' ἐπὶ παντὶ ξήματι Θεοῦ). See v. 12. 5 Καὶ ἀναγαγὼν αὐτὸν (ὁ διάβολος 6 Καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ ὁ διάβολος Σοὶ δώσω τὴν ἐξουσίαν ταύτην ἅπασαν καὶ τὴν δόξαν αὐτῶν, ὅτι ἐμοὶ παραδίδεται καὶ ᾧ ἂν θέλω δίδωμι αὐτήν· 7 Σὺ οὖν ἐὰν προσκυνήσῃς ἐνώπιον ἐμοῦ, ἔσται σοῦ πᾶσα. 8 Καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς αὐτῷ εἶπεν ὁ ̓Ιησοῦς Υπαγε ὀπίσω μου, Σατανᾶ· γέγραπται γάς (Υπαγε ὀπίσω μου Σατανᾶ) Γέγραπται 10 Τότε λέγει αὐτῷ ὁ ̓Ιησοῦς Κύριον τὸν Θεόν σου προσκυνήσεις Προσκυνήσεις Κύριον τὸν Θεόν σου be the Son of God, cast thyself down : for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. 8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; 9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, (See v. 8.) if thou wilt fall down and worship me. 10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord LUKE IV. 1. IV. 1 And Jesus, being full of the Holy Ghost, returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, 2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterwards hungered. 3 And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread. 4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. 6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; & to whomsoever I will I give it. If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord |
