In the dedication to Charles I. by the Bishops of London and Ely, there is a high commendation of the revered author, whom they call "a man, as if he had been made up of learning and vertue."

A fine impression of the Author's portrait follows the title, with a Latin inscription and epigram, engraved by Ren. Elbtrack. The volume is dedicated, by Thomas Charde, to the Earls of Pembroke and Montgomery: see Williams below. The parts have their separate titles and paging.
