ENCOURAGEMENT AND DIRECTIONS FOR PRAYER. JOB Xi. 13-16. One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple. Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me. When thou saidst, seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, thy face Lord, will I seek. Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord. Ps. xxxii. 5, 6. I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine. iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found. Ps. xxxiv. 4, 6. I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles. Ps. xxxvii. 4, 5. Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us. Ps. lxiii. 1, 2, 7. O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee; my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is ; to see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary. Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice. The humble shall see this, and be glad and your heart shall live that seek God. In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me. Ps. cv. 3, 4. Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord.
